The Pandit ji here says that the name of this temple is Prachin Shiv Mandir Tooti Jharna. This temple was in the graveyard of the entire era. This temple is of Dwapar, Treta Yuga and Satya Yuga. This temple has been built by Lord Vishkarma himself.

Nor does it have any history. When the British were building a railway line here. Then the soil was being excavated from here and taken to lay the track, during that time when the workers were taking the soil, then the workers could see the dome on the temple here. The whole temple was covered with soil. Many trees and plants had grown on it.

When he saw the dome of the temple here, he informed his contractor that there is something at this place. The contractor here was a resident of Gujarat. Ram Ji Bala Ji Pramarkar Ji, who belonged to Sanatan Dharma, came here.

He saw the replica of the temple and excavated the temple by employing more labourers. He got the place cleaned thoroughly.

Historical importance of the temple

The history of this temple is linked to 1925. It is said that when the British were laying the railway line in Ramgarh district in 1925, during the excavation, the Tooti Jharna temple emerged from under the ground. During the excavation, they saw something dome-shaped inside the ground.

When the entire excavation was done, this temple was found. There was a Shivling of Lord Bholenath in this temple on which water was falling from a stream. The local people here, who have been seeing this from their fathers, grandfathers, their ancestors, no one knows about the history of this temple, who built this temple.

Belief about the temple

Many years ago, when the country was under British rule, the British found this Shivling while excavating and right above the Shivling, they found a white statue of Goddess Ganga. Water keeps on emanating from the navel of the idol which falls on the Shivling after passing through the palms of both his hands.

Since then till today, the idols of Goddess Ganga and Lord Shiva are seated there and Maa Ganga is continuously doing Jalabhishek of the Lord. Water coming out on its own from the idol of Ganga inside the temple is a miracle in itself till date.

Such a temple will not be found anywhere in India, which is Patal Shiv. There is a river to the north and cremation ground to the east. It is said that those who have faith in God, they get a glimpse of two snakes and a female snake on the Shivling inside the temple.
