But this park was again constructed in the month of August in 1955 keeping in mind the upcoming 50th anniversary of Tata Steel. Its responsibility was given to Mr. G.H. Krumbigel and B.S. Nirday.

Who had previously supervised the construction work of Mughal Garden of Mysore and Rashtrapati Bhavan of Delhi. The entire park is spread over about 500 acres of land. Built in a period of two years, this park is the most beautiful park in India.

Geography of Jubilee Park

The total area of ​​Jubilee Park is spread over about 500 acres. In which many dams and gardens are seen. Each dam has its own name. Such as Rose Garden, Mughal Garden, Main Lake, Amusement Park and Tata Steel Wildlife Park and an artificial island is available in the middle of the lake.

Where boating facility is also available on the lake. There are a total of four water fountains here. Which gives a view like the Taj Mahal.

Climate and weather

Talking about the climate in Jubilee Park, here a lush green view is seen all around during the rainy season. A road has been constructed inside the park. On which you can walk with an umbrella during the rainy season. The best time to visit Jubilee Park is from October to February.

History and Establishment

The construction work of Jubilee Park started in 1937 itself. This park was being built by Tata Steel Company. Which was started under the direction of Shri S. Lockster. Later, due to many obstacles in the construction work, its construction work was stopped.

But in 1955, its construction work was started again. Which was done keeping in mind the upcoming 50th anniversary of Tata Steel. Its work was given to Shri G.H. Krumbigel and B.S. Nirday.

The entire park is spread over about 500 acres of land. This park, built in a period of two years, is the most beautiful park in India. This park was inaugurated on 3 March 1958.

Means of entertainment

The main axis of the park is the statue of Jamshedpur’s founder Jamshedji Tata. Around the statue are spread Rose Garden, Mughal Garden, Main Lake, Amusement Park and Tata Steel Wildlife Park and an artificial island situated in the middle of the lake.

Apart from this, facilities of skating center and cafeteria are also available in the Amusement Park and Children’s Park. One can also enjoy boating in the lake.

Apart from this, the water fountain of the park is turned on at night. Which looks very beautiful to look at. This fountain is run only on Tuesdays. Which is weekly. Many types of colourful flowers can be seen in Jubilee Park. But plucking any flower is strictly prohibited. Wherever you will share in the park, you will see flowers all around. This park is not only famous for flowers, but many Ashoka trees have been planted here. Which are in a line. Due to these trees being very big, greenery and shade can be seen all around in the park.

Strict law has been made for this. Instructions are given at the entrance of the park, that it is mandatory to follow the rules of the park. Violation of this can lead to a fine by the local administration.

Entry fee and timing

The entry fee for Jubilee Park is Rs. 30 for adults and Rs. 20 for children. An identity card is required for entry here. Entry without identity card is prohibited. A separate payment of Rs. 90 has to be made for entertainment. This happens only on special occasions.

Security and cleanliness

The security of Jubilee Park is done by the local administration and the government here. If any kind of misdeed happens in this park, the manager of the park will give the strictest punishment and hand it over to the administration.

A cleaning staff has been appointed for the cleaning of this park. He takes care of this park daily. Dirt is not allowed to spread here.

The structure was envisioned as a flame rising from Mother Earth to reach the skies. Fire (Agni) symbolises many things in Indian culture purity, spirituality, knowledge and enlightenment; all leading to the path of truth.

Agni is a symbol of intention and represents the gihger faculties of the subconscious abilities that help us grow and evolve. The concept of the eternal flame is timeless and can easily tracscend different generations.

The Design

Inspired byarchimedes spiral, the shape rises from the tghree comers of the tringle, with a variable number of rebolutios and pitches, until they finally meet at the apex. The form has been proportioned to draw the sightlines upwards while one views the sculpture.

The structure is divided inot two parts, the sub-ground structure (foundation)and the superstructure (Sculpture). The structure has been made using tata structure YST 355 steel tubes. A tatal of 8.5 tonnes of tat structura steel circular hollow section (15 MM to 300 MM diameter) were used to create the structure.

There are three spines with heights of 10.86 metres, 9.8 metres and 9.5 metres. A total of 1124 slikes protrude from there three spines. The overall dimension of the Agni structure is 5.10 meetres in diameter and height of 10.8 metres.

Background

To celebrate the versatility of steel and its applications, Tata steel conceptualised a global design competition- “Notions of India” – to bring together architects from across the world to showcase their reativity by using steel structural hollow sections.

The competition also reinforces the mission of Tata Strictira, to enable contemporary, architectural marvels and innovative solutions of tomorrow.

“Agni” was one of the winning entries in the competition’s second edition organised in 2021, which saw over 5200 registrations from participants across 13 countries.
