Introduction

Radha Krishna Temple is built in the middle of Jhumri Charadih pond of Koderma district. This temple is built in the middle of a pond on the banks of Ranchi-Patna main highway 31. In this temple, along with Lord Radha Krishna, Mother Sita and Lord Shri Ram and Hanuman ji have been installed.

This temple is located at a distance of about 5 kilometers from Koderma district headquarters. The process of construction of this temple was started by late Ramesh Yadav ji since 1997. After many obstacles, it was completed in 2022.

The Pran Pratishtha of Lord Radha Krishna was done in this temple on 7 February 2023. The rest of the Pran Pratishtha of Mother Sita and Lord Ram and Hanuman ji was done on 12 February 2023 with full rituals.

This temple opens daily at 6 am. At 12 noon, the temple is closed from 12 to 3 pm for the pujari to have food here. Again, this temple remains open from 3 pm to 8 pm. Most of the local people come here to worship.

Many festivals and bhajan kirtans are organized in the courtyard of Radha Krishna temple throughout the year. In which Kalash Yatra is also organized. More than 5 thousand devotees participate in this yatra. This temple is situated in the middle of the pond.

Its height can be about 60 feet from the temple surface. This pond is built in about 4 acres of land. The construction of the temple was being done since 1997, according to that, this pond is also very old.

Therefore, the credit for the construction of this temple goes to the wife of late Ramesh Prasad Yadav and popular, popular leader of Koderma, Smt. Annapurna Devi ji, who got this temple constructed with the cooperation of the people of Jhumri, Charadih, Karma, and Chhatarbar Panchayat.

Talking about architecture and design, this temple is built in the middle of a pond on the banks of Ranchi-Patna State Highway 31 in Koderma district. An over bridge has been constructed to reach there. There is pond water all around the temple. A flag is always hoisted in the temple.

The design of this temple is made in Chennai style. The temple is surrounded by ridges and steel pipes. So that no devotee falls into the water from here. Its beauty has been created very meticulously. The architecture of this temple has been made just like a Jain temple.

The deities installed in this temple are not sold here. The idol of Daavi Devta is made of marble. Even the entire temple has been built using marble stones and cement etc. No paint of any kind has been done inside the temple.

The temple shines completely with the shine of marble stones. A total of five deities have been installed in one temple, out of which the main one is Radha Krishna.

This temple is open daily from 6 am to 12 noon. And again it remains open from 3 pm to 8 pm. Local devotees come to this temple daily to worship. Aarti is performed here every evening. In the morning, the temple is cleaned and washed with the water of Jhumri pond in which the temple is located.
